Where can I get warm, neoprene-lined wellies for kids?
We couldn't find any, so we developed our own brand called 'Warm Wellies'. They were born out of a very practical need – to stop our kids getting ‘frozen toes’ when they were on the farm with us while we worked.
We also wanted our Warm Wellies to be hard-wearing, and also to take into account how long their legs get when they get older! We wanted our Warm Wellies to be long enough to stop some of the muck and mud from creeping up their trousers.
For over 18 years, we have been perfecting our children's range of lined wellington boots, and we firmly stand by the fact that they really are "Warm Wellies":
- No more crying over cold feet
- No more tingling toes
- Comfortable, warm and great value
Wearing Warm Wellies meant our kids never complained about cold feet or frozen toes. Now we aim to let as many families as possible know how much these wellies can transform cold days outside with little ones, so outdoor-loving families can explore in comfort.
A growing family business
When the children were little, they had to spend a lot of time outdoors with us and often complained about getting cold. We could never find wellies warm enough to stop the inevitable winging about frozen and tingly toes - no matter how many pairs of socks they wore.
Farming folk have been wearing neoprene lined wellies for years, and really appreciate how warm they are, so we felt the same should apply to farming kids too. In 2006 we decided to do something about it.
At the time Chloe was 6, Isabel was 4, and twins Archie and Tom were 2. No one could have a better incentive or the practical hands-on experience to develop Warm Wellies than us.
We embarked on our journey to design and manufacture the first neoprene-lined wellies for kids. 18 years on, we are still growing and expanding our range and have added adult wellies, unisex gardening shoes plus some accessories too.
Our children modelled for us when they were tots, but they are much older now and have graduated to adult wellies and are rather more camera shy!
