Why have we introduced a new range of men’s and women’s wellies, that we think are the best ever?

Footwear has to be the hardest working part of your wardrobe. The best adult wellies can look good, but far more importantly, wellies have to withstand the UK weather and feel great when walking in the countryside, or in your local parks and on footpath wanders. And they need to be RESILIENT. We’ve listened to feedback on our wellies and have made some major changes this season. That’s why the latest delivery of men’s and women’s wellies are introduced as a new range and we’ve given them names - that way you know we have listened to your feedback and made changes that may appear minor, but you will certainly see and feel the difference. Our adult wellies are not so much about being a status symbol (though we know they look every bit as smart as any other ‘posh green wellies’), it's about them being very FUNCTIONAL too. All our adult warm wellies were designed to be worn on farms and in fields, but customer feedback said they could be more robust in the heels and soles, and for farming folks working with livestock, they needed to be more resilient to muck and chemicals.

All our wellies now come with a guarantee, so what’s different about our new range of adult wellies?

They still look very similar, but we made these changes:

ALL our men’s and women’s wellies have more robust soles and heels. We changed the composition of the rubber and also made the heels solid. They are still very comfy, but they will now wear MUCH BETTER than our previous versions.

We made changes: We changed the composition of the natural rubber to make them more resilient to muck and slurry – and more resistant to damage from chemicals used in the dairy. Simon has been wearing and testing them for a long time and they are still as good as ever. As with all natural rubber boots, they may get a ‘bloom’ with age, but we do find that using something like Grangers Rubber Boot Care works well. It removes bloom and revives the appearance of wellies.

You said the standard wellies could be a little longer.

We made changes: Our standard length wellies are now longer – it’s amazing what an inch or so can do, especially when you are in a muddy field. Have a look at our size chart for the new measurements.

We made changes: The side gusset is something we have paid great attention to. Making sure they look, and feel is right and also making the gusset slightly deeper to accommodate wider calves. You will find the gussets on our Eamont Wide Wellies and our Kingwater Heavier Duty Wellies are now deeper.

All our wellies now come with a year's guarantee. That’s why we are confident in the new range.
