"They suggest getting the same size wellies as shoe size. This is fine for the length but not the width. They are very narrow in the foot and there is no room for thicker socks. They’d be fine for summer but not autumn and winter when more insulation is needed."

That said, for the price, to get a pair of kids wellies that are neoprene lined you can’t complain too much and it’s better they’re too big than too small.
